it strongly depends. years ago I caught the attention of a freinds' fellow LARP players, two ladies, actually, and they gave me a photo each to make somethign furry out of... and the result was well-received.

also, non-furries can still see the artistic value and ideas behind it without jumping to the next fetish.

of course, a message like, "nice, but not really my style" says something.

ich versteh dich da vollkommen. da findet man einen wunderschönen porzellanfuchs aus sanktpetersburger produktion udn stellt fest daß der beschenkte für diese art nippes nichts übrig hat... da ist es schwer nicht beleidigt zu sein. aber wie soll man vorher fragen wenns spontan und überraschend sein soll?
