Taking break from WWII for a moment. Awhile back I asked
marymouse if it would be ok if I did a sketch of her character. I promised to keep it clean and of course give character creation credit to her. She said yes. I've done similar sketches of
cheska http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2301408/ and
thefunkyone http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1245526/
Mary Mouse was one of the first people I started watching when I joined FA. I've always enjoyed her almost Walt Kelly style of art and character creation, and since her style of art was very different from mine I found it a fun little challenge to do. In process of sketching her character though I found it necessary to essentially create my own model sheet just to get a basic understanding of how to draw the character. This is the result.

Well i just borrowed some cues from Mary Mouse's own character design sheet http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1593674/ . It has some very useful info on it.
It would be really hard to capture the style of humor that Walt Kelly was able to do. I seem to remember a small discussion his characters had about mathematics, specifically algebra, and the mention that they only had three pairs of pants between them...
Same for Rube Goldberg...

Very true. I got a question for you.
Out of curiosity, could you draw hooved feet like these?
