Oh my god. 30 hours of work and countless nights sobbing trying to make this come together has
finally come to fruition. To explain Amy never really got wet in her fen form so she doesn't know how
heavy and uncomfortable wet fur can be. With Melissa not liking being in her human form she tends to prefer
sunbathing by her new pool when not in the mood to swim. Amy doesn't really understand this
so Mel decides the easiest way to illustrate her point is to have
Amy transform into her fen form and push her into the pool herself.

This was a pretty nice sequence of events. It all flowed smoothly and the transformation itself played a good role in the story here. I think it subverts a lot of expectations since it happens so casually.

I will admit though i do like stories where characters can transform at will like this. Like what are their views on switching forms. The husky girl already stated she doesn't like being in her human form. Why is that? It's stuff like that im curious about.
and that she's more comfortable in the form she was born with. Where Amy was born in her human form and gained her fen form later in life. in contrast to Melissa, she uses her fen form when it's most convenient.
like if it's too cold out she'll change forms to stay warm, or if she needs to reach something high up she'll swap to use her stronger legs. She also tends to use it while her students are writing tests so she can hear

They were originally a completely different species from a space faring race that was sent on an expedition to find planets capable of sustaining
life to try and make relations with the people. This was about 3,000 years ago in that canon.
Their ship crash landed on earth and they were unable to send out a distress signal due to the entire engeneering deck being destroyed on impact along with their
mechanical engineers.
In an effort to survive as a species their top scientists created a DNA altering gene that would allow them to transform into humans
and pass on their lineage. Over time their fen forms began to evolve and resemble the wildlife found on earth rather than the species of their home planet in an effort
to acclimate to their new environments.
And since their very survival was hinged around deception, humans didn't exactly take kindly to that. Of course with more modern social movements they're a lot more
accepted, but there are still a lot of stigmas around a human and a fen mating. The were fen are most despised though as they are capable of transmitting their
virus by blood contact. and similar to people who don't disclose their STD's to their partner's were-fen tend to hide that fact from potential sexual partners.
Actually i could've sworn i've seen a story like that. Im not sure if it was from you or another story with a similar premise.
a child of one of these fen. Her father (a fen) was a police officer who was KIA and since her mother had no idea her child was a fen got quite the nasty shock
when Danielle awoke as a fen.
With were-fen they are the product of a careless scientist who wished to be closer to his wife on a genetic level. He attempted to reverse-engineer the
transitional gene found in fenorrhe blood and apply it to humans. In his attempts he managed to create a successful prototype that was fused
with a virus for easy self contamination. He did not; however, code his virus correctly and underestimated the virus' ability to spread, as well as the fact that
he forgot to code the virus properly for controlled transformations. As a result the transitional gene activates at complete random in were-fen.
After being hospitalized for a different accident at his lab, several hospital workers were infected with the virus and it began spreading rapidly in hospitals
and through were-fen who could not control the new animal DNA in their systems much like classic were-wolves.
After a couple months a vaccine was developed to contain the virus and medications were developed to help control the random transformations
in were-fen as well as giving them more control over their new animalistic instincts. Unfortunately there is a huge anti-vax movement as
plenty of racists refuse to be vaccinated with something that contains fen DNA.
