don't compare yourself to past accomplishments. you will create great things, but not everything has to be great- or even good. create for yourself, create because YOU want to!
the biggest limitation you can put on yourself is refusing to try and create something, simply because you believe that you can't, or that it won't turn out as good as what you've created in the past. if you do that, you'll never grow.
you cannot succeed if you don't even try, don't be afraid of failure.
I find myself in this hole a lot, and wanted to do a picture about it.

I'm glad this connects with other people, it's easy to get caught in an infinite thought loop about not being good enough or feel like you won't measure up to what you've done in the past, but
a lot of the time, the only difference between then and now is the mental limitations you put on yourself. thanks for commenting, i hope you break out of that rut

I agree. Comparing your present self to what you've done in the past is like trying to count all the atoms in an area as small as a square mile: impossible, and a fruitless endeavour if you were to try.
...So, yeah, it's best to sow the seeds of future growth instead of trying to harvest the bygone accomplishment of the past.
Wow. References to both farming and particle physics... I must be tired... Still, the point is valid, though.

Shit. There's a weird oxymoron with this, because even now this picture is "yesterday's accomplishment" for you. I hope it's still got as much power to kick you in the ass as it does me. Because if it does, let me tell you, I'm more than just envious. I'm motivated to give myself some hard core condescending advice through my own furry reflection too.
You're a great substitute, though. Your comic styling is always a breath of fresh air to me.
