Kay absolutely adores backpacking, even being an inflatable coyote. There's something incredibly peaceful about being out in the woods, away from everything. Even relying on merely your gear and wits, the stress seems to be something else entirely from the daily grind stress from work. Even with the work and travel, there's still a sense of peace, and he nearly always has a smile like this while out. Not sure where he is this time, but a friend along with that tent must be off gathering more wood for the fire; Kay likes his hammock closer to the fire pit. And thankfully, his hide's quite resilient to that heat.

This picture has made me immensely happy, and beyond any expectations I had. I've kept it repeatedly as a wallpaper for my phone, PC, and Chromebook, because of the sense of peace it instills in me to look at it. It's easy to think back to any trips where I've been in his exact same shoes, and the sense of calm it was. In many ways, Kay almost more-strongly reflects me than Ceralor, which is somewhat surprising to me, even. Maybe someday in the next year or so, I'll be able to post a photo of myself in suit in this exact same setting.

This incredible piece of work was done by unknewlegewolf, who has recently started taking commissions. I'm quite eager to commission him for more camping and hiking or even daily pictures of Kay, and I HIGHLY recommend to go give him a watch!
