At long last, it's finished!
I started this last month during my Personal Art week and yesterday I finally got the last bit of it completed. This was both an exercise in pushing myself to see what I could do, and a reminder of *why* I don't do stuff like this. lol Either way, I really hope you guys enjoy the end result. There are some things I would do differently next time (sorry if the text is small, I didn't plan properly for that and had to fit what I wrote into the little speech bubbles) but overall I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. :)
This is basically just a more visual way of telling a piece of Talvi's story, which has now began to unfold into her romance with my very good friend
's character Noboru. Every winter, I try to showcase her and this year, I really wanted to go forward with what I've hinted at in previous years. But, I wanted to do something different, and I had this idea about a special token she could give him that would make it official. I immediately thought of a key.
This project also helped me think a little more about the world my Faeries occupy. I mention it often but haven't really sat down and given it more substance until now. What's here just gives a really basic overview and even this is just the tip of the iceberg but it should at least give a small idea of how things are laid out and where Talvi exists within it all. :) Maybe in future projects with my characters I can try to bring out more info. (And no, this doesn't specifically follow any Faerie lore from any particular culture, as there are a wealth of them out there and it would be impossible to stitch them all together into something cohesive. So this is just my version and what works for my stories.)
Anyway, I hope you guys like it and that my efforts have not been in vain. There are a lot of people putting out page after page of comics and I wish I could do the same but unfortunately time and artistic energy don't favor such things for me, so this was all I could manage. ^_^'
