It’s been a while, but I’m now uploading a deck I entered into Slugfest Game’s “Create a deck” contest. Beau, the feline archer.
Beau packs a serious punch with his bow, capable of sniping enemies fortitude quickly and, in some cases, without repercussion. With two different cards capable of hitting for three fortitude and two anytimes that can hit for one, Beau can quickly rack up damage. As you would expect for someone on the back lines though, he’s not good at stopping punches with below average defenses and no retaliatory cards, making him a punching bag for anyone who wants to tussle. While the deck is rather basic, it falls in line nicely with the original two sets of cards and meets the right feeling for an archer.
Strengths: Great Damage, Ignoring Drinks, unique additional effects on some cards.
Weaknesses: Gamblers who don’t cheat. Losing money. Losing Fortitude.
General character information
Name: Beau (yes it's a pun.)
Title: The Feral Archer
Race: Anthromorphic Snowleopard
Age: 23
General appearance: White fur with black spots, pale blue eyes, Roughly six foot tall, toned but not muscular. Wears a long sleeved, loose fitting shirt white with light leather armor and loose fitting shorts. Wears a patch on his left shoulder of a Bow with a Sword knocked instead of an arrow, the symbol of his family's mercenary guild.
Background: His village is little more than one large mercenary guild, having developed from a small tribe in the mountains due to their proficiency with bows and makeshift swords they used in hunting. His father, previously chief and now leader of the mercenary guild, raised Buae with all the values of both the tribe and guild; honor, honesty, and respect for others. Beau was raised with a bow in paw, seeing his life as a child of the guild as the normal way of things, having only left the guild for the jobs he was given, interacting only as needed to complete the job. His current job comes from his father, to investigate these new "heroes" that have been taking care of some of their business
Personality: Very curious and childlike, due to his somewhat odd upbringing and sheltered life outside the jobs given to him leaving him with little understanding of "normals" as he calls other people. Because of his life, he often doesn't understand the finer bits of civility, treating anyone who he deals with on a personal level as another member of his tribe. Due to his training, teachings, and what happened on his last job (he doesn't want to talk about it. All that's known is he was missing all of his clothes when he returned home) he's extremely leery of thieves and cheaters.
Reason he joined the party: To keep an eye on the group, letting his father know their movements so that the guild can avoid jobs near this wandering band of do-gooders and to earn some fame for the guild through his own actions within the party.
