I felt like doing another one of these, expect more anthropomorphic.
this also a bit of vent art too, i just been feeling a bit depressed and dissatisfied with my art lately. mostly on the amount of feedback i getting my artwork lately. my art feels like a waste of time when i spend so many hours on it only for a few favs and comments and just to be forgotten about. i know being an artist is not all about popularity, but i can't help but get discouraged when my art gets very little noticed. plus it seems always the same no matter what art website i go too, i post my work, but get very little feedback or interaction with anyone. sigh....

Your style rather suits this sort of artwork. Reminds me a bit of Jheronimus Bosch, fascinating, disturbing yes, but fascinating.
As for nobody noticing your art, it doesn't mean it's bad. I've seen some professional illustrators, guys who illustrated comics and books for D&D, barely get any notice. A lot of people like to draw or be creative and with sites like these, it's also easy to share it online. It's hard to stand out in an ocean of content. If you want to get popular, easy, just draw fanart of the thing that's the most popular right now, something anime I think...but those people won't like your artwork because of you, they just want to see pictures of their favorite stuff. I remember when I was younger, somewhere in the previous millennium I used to show my drawings to my classmates and my family. They all liked it and my day was good. Those were only about twenty people who ever saw it and this drawing of yours already got more then that. Remember, the fun part is creating it.

thanks :)
yeah, i see what your saying. the old saying goes your nothing but a tiny drop in a vast ocean, so it's real hard to get noticed out the crowd. like i said my my artist comment i know popularity and the amount of views you get ain't every thing when it comes to be an artist, but at the same time i can't help but get discouraged when i see popular artists get well noticed and make a good living at their work. to me getting more noticed means getting more commission work, those that like my work enough to pay for it anyway. so if i don't get noticed, i can't find work. it also frustrates me i have been on sites like DA for like 10 years now and it seems I'm not anymore noticed then when i first joined the site. i'm never really going to stop drawing what i love, but some day are just....ugh.

I'll second Netarliargus. And add that it seems online art 'consumption' habits have changed and become more passive. Was poking at my metrics on DA a while back and the drop off is very noticeable (and this is without factoring in my habit of intermittently going quiet for long periods on art sites). Having made that observation, I'm afraid I don't really have any answers to it... I guess try not to take it too personal though that's easier said than done :-\
In other news, nice work here. Greyscale was the perfect choice, it feels very desolate. Good shading, gives a very solid feel. :)

thanks. :)
yeah, i guess you say that online art sharing as certainly become a more passive thing. nobody interacts with each other like they used too. i used to fair about of comments and favs on my artwork and i was happy with that, but now it does seem that as drastically dropped to low amounts. it could be a lot of people deem DA as a bad website now and have moved on to other websites. i have tried other art websites, but none of them seem as social and interactive as this DA has.
