Phina loves being her bright and colourful self with warmer weather ahead. As a forest spirit, her radiant glow is natural when her energy is high. The excess solar energy flowing around her body into a rainbow of aura for those that sense it.

I love how she blends in with the background so well despite it not being 3D.
I’ve not done much with 3D lately. Still working a lot of 10-hour days but the “model” I got, I play with. Learning how to shape things, moving vertices, face and edges along with othe things. Sometime soon i’ll Star it again but more serious. There’s some creases/ridges, like on the front of the neck, that are there.
I do have to ask, about the three bigger girls. Did you make just one base model and then modify them or is each character their own hand crafted model?

Almost all models were unique starts, each extruded as required from the default cube, following their original reference background images to guide the shape.
Sparks (Dark Elf) -> Sasha (Racoon) -> Lola (Roobat) were a progressive modification of Sparks original mesh. Reshaping and adding Geometry with sculpting for a significantly unique shape. Sam (Carret) was again a unique mesh started from a default cube. Though each follows a similar workflow, they have a similar body shape, though the edge flow of the mesh improves greatly.
Although similar in appearance, they are quite different from each other in many ways. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/18973442/

Reusing a mesh is kind of what I want to do. Most characters use a humanoid form, some are humans and others are humanoid with things like animal ears, tails, etc. Plus, a number of characters are of one species, like raccoons, zebras, and dogs, to name a few. I'd just need a male and female form. Theres other exotic creatures that would require their own models as they are a bit complex.
This is one guy whose tutorial, https://youtu.be/rlhMyNdRx1Q , I watched and got this, https://www.furaffinity.net/view/26671619/ It's more of a practice thing that I poke at to see what happens. One thing is that he said he doesn't like to use the mirror modifier and in some ways, I can see why he doesn't use it often. There's a few errors. Look at the throat area, you see there's like a fold/crease.
I'm understanding how it all works. I see there's so many ways to model but i want to do it the fastest but best way.

In edit mode switch to edge editing, or face editing and look for lines there that connect in an unusual way.. you can select that edge and delete it.
Ctrl-tab. Then select 1 for vertex, 2 for edge or 3 for face editing.
For symmetrical objects I always use the mirror modifier.. you can cross the centerline if you temporarily disable the clipping for spots that press together.

Yeah, I did that with another problem on the neck. It had like a ring around it and I found the vertices/edges and got rid of that. The vertical edge, which you can see, I must've had something selected and moved them.
I had to disable the clipping because there were edges, that i selected but couldn't move but they weren't near the center. The joys of modeling.
My birthday is in late April and it's one of two months where I take an "art vacation" except the last week where I do a birthday pic for myself. This year, I'll still do the birthday pic but most of April I intend to delve into Blender and try and get a model done.
If anything, I should do this tall, skinny alien character since the design is really simple, https://www.furaffinity.net/view/16879898/ She'd probably be the best one to do a full model of.

Yes, with mirror and clipping enabled some of the vertexes will get pinned at 0 and unable to move them. In Edit mode, Press 'N' to bring up the properties panel, and then manually transform the vertex XYZ location away by .02 or some small amount to break them free again..
Sometimes its just as well to select and delete the vertexes that get all mushed up on the mirror axis, Then extrude new ones back towards the center line, and merge them as needed (CTRL-M)

I did at least the vertex transformation and then just moved them after turning off clipping. Seemed to do the trick.
I did manage to make the arms but they're not perfect. I may just start a new model from scratch since there's probably too many things messed up. Still this practice model was helpful in learning.
