PATREON REWARD OF GARLOGAN
Finally, after a whole year spent restoring the building in ruin, Paul the green gator was now ready to open the result of his
hard work. The Bayou Landing - Bar/ Pub & Night-Club was actually a pretty nice achievement. Especially when we know in
what pitiful condition the building was when Paul discovered it in the middle of this swamp. It was already a miracle that the
entire thing didn't collapse. It was undoubtedly, as Paul said,a sign of destiny. He had managed, brick after brick, timber after
timber, to give life and charm to this place. The place did not have anything more inhospitable. He had also landscaped some
of the surroundings to make it looking much more welcoming. Some details could still be tweaked, but the green gator had to
wait that his small business starts to be profitable.
He had tried somehow to start making his bar known. In the nearby town, Paul had distributed small cards but also plated some
posters when it was allowed for him. This unavoidable marketing period, had not really been easy and had been a kind of drag
on his motivation. He was just unknown in town....Who could trust such a strange alligator who was used to walk around with
the most natural way of clothing....nearly nothing. He was a survivor of the war ... he was unstable. Trust was rare. However
Paul had never given up and could always count on the few people he knew here, even before the war started.
Paul had become the friend of a professional surfer shark (who was participating to some hard stuntmen contests) "Krash Jawson",
years ago during a permission. "Krash The Stuntman Shark" and Paul had both managed to get to know each other better but even
if the war had separated them during, they had always managed to keep a weak contact. The shark had not yet managed to find out
if Paul had returned alive from the great war and had only learned very recently that Paul was finalizing the construction of his bar.
It was just a stroke of luck because he had just stumbled on a Bayou Landing promotional poster. After their warm reunion, he was
able to help Paul to fix some details before the bar's opening.
And now that the Bayou restoration was finally over, before the shark goes on tour with the other stuntmen, Paul wanted to spend
the entire evening with his friend and had even invited him to sleep in his bar. After all, it was also the house of the gator. They both
ate a lot, talked a lot about the past but also good times he had shared to work together on the last details of the bar. After a very
comforting moment in the bed, filled with hug and snuggles, it was finally time to sleep, since Paul wanted to wake up early to fully
inspect and prepare his bar before opening. For his awakening, Paul had been very meticulous. Stressed at the thought of not hearing
the alarm, he had placed two of them on his table. Both were scheduled to ring at seven in the morning. This is how the two beasts fell
asleep peacefully against each other.
"BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP"
It was actually impossible to avoid the loud sound of the first alarm. So impossible, that the sound awakened Paul probably too abruptly.
His awakening was little too brutal as his head hit the sloping wooden ceiling that was just above him. The shark was actually sleeping so
well that it was not the sound of the alarm that he heard first, but the sound of Paul's head against the wood.
"Hey cutie are you okay? But...B-But what are you doing with your clock Paul? he asked to Paul who was reloading his mind. "Why did you
programmed the alarm today? Your opening isn't planned for Monday? It's Sunday today silly! You wanted us to enjoy the weekend together
...remember?"
Paul was speechless. He was so preoccupied and stressed by the opening of his bar that he had completely forgotten about Sunday. He had
programmed his two alarms one day too early. It was exactly at this moment that the second alarm began to ring loudly. Paul was just here,
sitting on the edge of the bed, rubbing his head with his hand. Completely lost and disoriented, staring in a silly way at the little clock he was
holding firmly in his hand. This absurd situation makes the shark laugh suddenly as Paul was surrounded of loudly alarms ringing all together.
"You definitely need a good rest my silly greeny friend" he said to comfort his friend. "Come here, you deserve a warm hug. It is far too early
to wake up silly. Let's enjoy the bed for a few extra hours, and I'll take care of your meal for lunch." Paul finally went back to the side of the
shark and hugged him tightly. This strange Sunday maybe started a little too brutally but it was promising with lot of sweet things!
This picture was commissioned by Garlogan and it's a quite original idea! It's actually the first time someone commission me without his own
character inside the picture. Gar wanted to know more about Paul's past and help me to expend the universe and story-line of this character. I
have to admit it's totally adorable and generous of him. The subject of the drawing was a "first" thing. That's why I choose "the first wake up of
Paul for the first opening of his bar". I wanted to turn the idea into a comical and silly scene. Gar also wanted that someone else should be visible
in Paul's bed. We finally choose an old OC of mine that I created (and used) only for a specific occasion: The Shark Week. It was also a good way
to know a little more things about this other character, the original picture is here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20466690
I also wrote all the story which give better explanations and more details. I deeply hope you'll enjoy this particular picture since it means a lot for
me...it's an extension of the universe that I'm trying to create with my characters and it was really touching to see that Gar gave me the possibility
to do it with a drawing followed by a story. Thanks again!

That was such a sweet and wonderful story. I always love to see the character development, as well as how you bring these stories to life, and I am curious how Paul's Bayou Landing will turn out.
The piece in of itself looks lovely, With the soft shades and lighting of the scene bringing the two of them to life, the different colored lights in the scene like the lava lamp and regular lamp, and of course the muscle and posing. All of it just looks and feels so wonderful.

Awww thanks you so much as always for this full analysis of the picture and thanks again for sharing your feelings about that! That's pretty sweet!
This picture was actually lot of work, mostly to find an appropriate background and the work on the colors too. I'm happy that you enjoyed the story and the picture too! I'll do my best to explain more things about the characters! :)

That was fantastic, I loved reading the story, which was nicely written, and knowing more about Paul and the beginings of his bar. It was awesome of Gar to commission you to do this.
I like the this scene a lot, you nailed the confussed look in Paul's face, really adorable, and I love Krash's laughting face. I can see that you worked hard with all the details of the room, it's great!
BTW Hehe I see something interesting in the night stand. ;)

Je dirais pas que le bar est incontournable xD on va pas exagérer, mais si les gens passent un agréable moment dedans, c'est le principal :3
