Still playing Monster Hunter World. I have a friend back in California who is helping me along with some of the quests.
Among them is hunting down strings of Nergigante.
Well it finally happened. A generous Nergigante finally decided to give me its elusive horns after I broke one.
I think I got like five from one Nergigante. Funny how random this game can be. X3
As of now i have full Nergigante armor.
But do keep in mind I am male in the game so it's male Nergigante armor.
Not as revealing as female armor. The rules of Monster Hunter usually dictate that female hunters wear skimpier outfits that constitute as "armor."
In Japan this isn't really a big deal. But hey...as an American I'm obliged to pretend to be offended by this. ;3
Seriously; I don't think a whole lot of people are anyway. (Unless they want those YouTube hits when they bitch about it.)
The infamous Kirin armor is a prime example of this. And the Nargacuga armor also is another example of skimpy female armors from tough-as-nails monsters.
Nails describes Nergigante well as this bruiser is a walking pincushion of pain.
But it looks like my own Tess Mobrlung downed a couple to get it's armor and a hammer weapon. (AKA Nergal Crusher)
In all seriousness the armor and weapons made from Nergigante are pretty sweet.
And Tess is looking pretty sweet in this too. Been a while since I drew ya girl. XD
It's not a dead-on representation of the armor. But neither was my planned Monster Hunter outfit.
I'm still pretty pleased how it came out though as i continue getting back into drawing using SAI to outline.

For many people; Monster Hunter World is indeed their first Monster Hunter game. It's the Final Fantasy VII of the series I think. It was well known and received in the past; but not many people in the States played it. Capcom was struggling to find how they can make a diverse multi-player experience of hunting bosses together with up to 4 players resonate with American audiences. With World I think they have succeeded. People are still playing it even now.
And I have reached the point where I am downing Elder Dragons. Hence this pic to commemorate that momentous ocassion. The female Nergigante Armor just suits Tess her being a punk biker wolf who isn't afraid to chow off her attitude as much as her chest.
Ivy is also a nice way to describe Tess. Ivy wears a revealing outfit on purpose: so beautiful but so deadly. That's Tess for you too being part of a guild of assassins. The weapon she has is the Nergal Crusher which does look like a monster's jaw. The great Sword also looks like such. Spikey and prickly; that describes both the armor set, weapon and Tess well.
I definitely wanna work more on Tess. She actually beats out Lady Malmsteen as my character with the largest 'breast size.' Well she and her two sisters Tanya and Tori. These three are a trio of bouncy. XD
