Y'know, it's always iffy for me me to add in personal little details like that in commission work (especially when they aren't asked of me, and the client may have a story/explanation to pair with the image), but I definitely agree that matching the environment would help sell the overall concept better.

I was kinda worried about how to say it, cause the character doesn't really visually match the environment - but I also didn't want to be an arse about it.
I mean, it's good background work AND good character work. There's no technical issue wrong with the submission, just a slight design quibble I have...

I didn't think so. Design is an important and tricky topic, and I appreciate your candor.
I've gone ahead and added in some slight visual noise to his clothing, just to provide some chaos to better match the environment. The difference is subtle, but effective.
