Yea I did try a method like that, but with sheer black material and red and white paints, but because it was a flat surface and the head's so tight and close to my face, it touched my eyes... Therefore a bit painful and hard to see through... Lol...
What's fun foam and what would I use it for?

To outline the eyes. :) I made a tutorial for it.
Let me pull it up for you.

Hope it helps.
It should stay well enough away from your eye!

To be completely honest, they look awfully sloppy.
My recommendation would be to make a wire or even plastic mesh armature in the shape of the ears, then place a layer of felt on top of them.
As for the nose, you can use sculpey, or crayola model magic fusion and plasti-dip.
Also-- did you know you can order fur swatches offline? You can purchase swatches for $1.00 a piece, usually, instead of painting directly onto your head. I think it would improve the look of your suit about 85 percent. <3

Actually, it doesn't :U When I was doing my research on fursuits before I made it heaps of people said they get really hot, but I haven't noticed that happening yet. It could be because it isn't summer here yet, not sure... I didn't put foam on the back of the head which also might have helped.
