Eliza Jump and Land
I originally did this in a ustream just for fun. But I like the result so I decided to save it and attempt to finish it. However I'm lazy so I never went back to it seriously.

Hey, you've got some secondary action and followthrough there, really adds to the weighty feeling. It could probably get even more exaggerated, but what the hell, right? Nice stuff, Kaze. I didn't know you animated, but then again, I've been out of it for a long time.
Its good to see you after such a long time. I hope you get back into the swing of things since I still have you on my watch list.
As for animating I've done a few clips here and there. They are sparce since so far I hate all the animation programs there are to use. Flash sucks, I really can't get used to drawing in it and photoshop is comfy to draw in but isn't meant to be an animation program primarily so it works just because I want it to.

Try it the old fashioned way. I do all my animating on paper and lightbox. It feels a lot more intuitive, even though shooting it with my webcam is a pain.
Animation paper can be found in 100 sheet packs, now, too, so you don't need to buy a $50 ream of the stuff. And pegbars are..like.. two bucks.

No thanks. Since that still goes to the same problem of what program to use to output those frames as video. I like animating that way but I don't feel like shelling out money if I don't have to. There should be some program where I can just draw every frame on a tablet, have a next frame button and just work. But most try to use vectors which just upsets me.
Monkeyjam, dude.
It's free and has a lot of the capabilities of pricey programs like flipbook. Pretty easy to use, even though it has some weird kludgey features too.
here's my process:
0:plan it
1:draw my key poses
2:passing poses
3:inbetweens
4:open monkeyjam, import frames, make any necessary tweaks to timing
5:test
lather, rinse, repeat.
It exports AVI files that are kinda massive, so I go to Super to convert them to something nice and small, and ta-da~
I agree with you on the vectors thing. It is a damn shame that only programs for pencil testing like... uh, 'penciltest' (which is also free, by the way, but not so great) let you just work directly.
