While i was drawing the full version of this i got to thinking about how a drake skull might actually look under the skin, and i'm rather happy with the result, as it at least vaguely looks like something that might actually exist!

the upper hole at the muzzle area is the nostril, while the lower one is where the nerves for the whiskers pass through the skull and into the sensory organ responsible for a drake's "prescience" sense, regarded as one of the 4 main "powers" which make drakes so overwhelming.
