Finally I upload part 2 of this!
Sorry for the wait, I got distracted with other stuff and just kinda forgot for a while; but here we are, second installment, hope everyone enjoys ^^
With drinks in hand the trioplanted themselves down in a booth as far away as available from the speakers in the adjacent room. Every once in a while the doors would burst open to some giggling couple stumbling off to the bathrooms or a queasy looking fellow about to join them and ruin the evening in the next stall.
"So how's that job hunt going?" Adrian half-shouted to Sara, battling the open door; the rabbit, mid sip, nodded enthusiastically and finished a gulp of her drink before responding,
"Good, yeah! Seems like some places on the outskirts need vets who aren't experienced enough to cross over to regular doctoring!" She grinned and flipped her hair, bouncing excitedly.
"So you come in and clean up, because you don't know what you're doing? Outstanding." the Fox smirked at his friend, who crossed her arms and sat back with an eyebrow raised.
"You might want to look into the upper management there dude, by those standards you could be a CEO in no time I'm sure."
All three laughed, Amber uncharacteristically quiet in between them otherwise, leant back against the faux suede and sipping on her Rum & Claws.
Sara's eyes began to dart to her after some more banter between herself and Adrian, noting the startling amount of alcohol left in Amber's glass. Eventually she gave her a little wave and snapped her from her reverie.
"Oh! Sorry! Miles away," Amber grinned and took a long sip from her straw, kicking back into gear,
"I was just wondering what the commute would be like for you, and then it occured to me I've got to get back on the red line tonight, green's had a lot of stations shut for some reason..." She trailed off in thought, struggling to recall the previous route; both friends looked equally unhappy with this revelation.
"Oh, bugger," Adrian leaned back and took a gulp of beer, " That's irritating; I'll have to go up to Northolt, and you too bunbun ". Sara narrowed her eyes at him but nodded all the same,
"Yeah, you're going to have to keep me company you know; I hate the Purple line, those trains are older than that heap you call a bike."
Looking at the time, it was probably best they all drank up and left before the last trains kicked in; it was a shame too, none of them felt particularly wasted, but on the plus side it would probably make for a better injection tomorrow.
