So I was walking around my apartment today, since for the first time in a long time, I actually have nothing to do. Saw a couple of old drawings of mine on the wall that aren't furry, but I figured I'd put a couple up on here anyway, since I kind of forgot about them.
I did this one in like, 2004 or 2005 when I started getting going with the whole drugs and shamanism thing. I've done all of these except peyote (though the mescaline will happen sometime soon...) and straight ergot, which would be dumb.

perfect assortment for my new greenhouse ^_^
Although apparently morning glories are illegal in AZ, not because they're hallucinogenic, but because they're the desert equivalent of kudzu. The more you know...
However, the law applies only to morning glories, and not it's relatives olloiqui and Hawaiian baby woodrose, as far as I know.
THE MORE YOU KNOW!!
They grow wild around Toronto :P
They grow wild around here too.
I've never tried datura and I kindof don't want to
Claviceps paspelli directly produces lysergic acid propanolamide. This was almost certainly the basis of the Eleusinian Mysteries. R. Gordon Wasson's book (The Road to Eleusis) on this subject is very convincing:

I have taken lysergic acid propanolamide, and it is more dreamy, gentle, and introspective than LSD. I can certainly understand how a mystery cult could last for over a thousand years based on it.
You have me intrigued..... :3
Also, do not eat petunias.
500,00,000 % FAVE
lol
But where's the SASSAFRAS?? :C
(Still, love it! <3)
wasn't it.. uh, horrible?
Have you ever tried betel nut?
also I've never heard of syrian rue (is that what it's called? the handwriting is a little hard to read) or yopo seeds.
I've always wanted to try amaninta muscarina. did you get any interesting effects from it?
Amanitas are interesting, but they are more of a depressant than a hallucinogen. My experiences were like having a really intense fever dream. Certainly not recreational. Datura and Amanitas can get really uncomfortable/dangerous and can cause a lot of issues if not used properly. Even though I'm growing datura right now, I'm not messing with it. Most of the things than can get you high legally are also usually more dangerous that things like cannabis, psilocybe mushrooms, cacti or ayahuasca.
makes sense. I know that some people get a high off pharmacological anticholinergics, such as Cogentin, that are used to treat parkinson's and antipsychotic induced pyramidal symptoms.
I've read a number of experiences archived at the Experience Vault, regarding the anticholinergics, many were datura or jimson weed, but also diphenyhydramine and others. makes for fascinating, if horrifying, reading
I've recevied a stimulant effect off of diphenhydramine (Benadryl), which is an anticholingergic. I found out about it because I would pop two to get to sleep, and when that didn't work, pop 2 more. at around six or eight tablets in a night, I became stimulated and had to get up and play video games. I found that it helped me focus and progress at gaming (I'm diagnosed ADD. so the pro-dopamine effect probably helped). there was a LITTLE euphoria, in a sense. and the focus. but the other side effects.. it made me feel so lousy really that it wasn't a viable thing to take. I felt like I was poisoning myself, which I probably basically was.
Yes, I have read about the reaction they exploit to make oral DMT work. fascinating!
>Amanitas are interesting, but
part of this may be the muscarine. it's supposed to feel nasty. But I wonder, can't you take an antimuscarinic drug like Cogentin or diphenhydramine to remove some of the side effects?
I don't really have a bucket list. but if I did, Betel nut would be on there. maybe someday I will happen to travel to a country where it is abundant and legal.
