This is the actual rim of Lake Tahoe, which empties into the Truckee River, then through Reno and into Pyramid Lake, north of Reno.

This is as low as it gets gang.

Distance from dam crest: 103.94 feet
(Drawdown, Feet from the top - Dam crest elevation is 1067 feet)
Approx. miles of shoreline: 241 miles
(365 miles of shoreline when full)

Most don't realize that the water content of the snow is also a factor.
If they can't get water from snow that's compressed, it's dry = Less water.
Tons of water from a good squeeze = LOTS of water.
God, I wish we had those wonderful heavy snow drifts at Lake Tahoe that I remember as a kid (8 foot deep in spots).
