Toys R Us is closing its doors for ever.
Actually I was more of a Lionel Kiddie City kid, but I am pretty sure I bought this Talking Roger Rabbit at a Toys R Us on clearance in late summer 1988.
This photo is dedicated to the future generations of kids who will never know the thrill of dragging Mom by the sleeve into a giant toy store with shelves that reached to the ceiling and picking out something just for you.
In a store just for you.

I remember Toys 'R' Us used to be one of our go-to sources for HO-scale model trains. Plenty of stuff from Bachmann and Life-Like and TYCO (this was consumer-aimed model train stuff, not the more higher-end products from Atlas, Athearn, Walthers, etc. which are all really good). I believe I still have my Life-Like HO-scale Toys 'R' Us boxcar somewhere!
