Moreena warns her nephew Rabbam to get back into the storm cellar, as there is a storm coming.
In fact it is two waring human factions coming back to the fur worlds – one faction needing their worlds for resources, manufacture, and soldiers/pilots – The other faction from an old human dogmatic holdout who want to want to finish what they started two thousand years ago and destroy this genetic engineering “affront to Humanity”.
Moreena’s sister Boliqua, Rabbam’s mother, was killed in the last battle between the two returning human fleets... Moreena’s Revelation Control has warned her, and will provide some defensive fields...the “good humans” have been trying to prepare them for this time for decades...but it still seems like they are all invading murderous monsters...

Haven’t written much about this phase of history in my fur words...cuz it’s pretty brutal...the time after Emma and Ash and before Raffa and Tia Fal...
Da pin-up stuff is just one aspect of what i imagine and draw...

So, i’ve been trying to get better at the “speed paint” thingy, but not practicing enough to make that happen...It, like all painting, it about value control – areas of darks and lights that model forms. The first version of this pic, an actual speed paint, was sort of awful. I enlarged the area of Moreena up much larger, drew a rough digi pencil over her, and repainted the values in a bunch of layers, - then merged that back into a size increased version of the rough and then repainted, rough style, a bunch of that.
Cuz i still suck at speed painting, but if i keep trying one day i might get the hang of it and be like all awesome and productive rather than “how did i survive this pic?” i know a lot of you artists feel that. Drawing is one hurdle, but painting realistic depth...uhg!
Another speed paint to come in a day or two, that one more about subtle colours...
Still working wiff physical injuries that limit me a couple hours at the desk at a time...that too shall pass...

A bit of the feel of this is from when i four to six years old and would spend the summer in Kansas City Mo. at a house the family owned there before they moved to Los Angeles - There would be tornado alert sirens/horns, and we would all dash down into the black-widow infested moldy basement. One time i went up and outside when no one was watching and i saw a tornado, maybe a mile or two away...so that's the mood of this pic....
i might try to colour/finish it up someday...
