I finally got to color this image, and it came out pretty close to the way I saw it in my head. It took me about a week just to color the dragon alone, but I'm kind of disappointed as I originally wanted to render the dragon in metallic hues. Still, I like how it turned out as being the first "Oriental" dragon I've ever drawn, it looks magnificent.
Unfortunately, the shop in Little Tokyo in Los Angeles where watching the young lady shopkeeper kind of do Tai Chi moves to get a red dragonfly to land on her, was closed a few years ago.

Depends on if she's a nice dragon or a troublesome dragon. Some dragons might consider the folks they meet as rather tasty though. I'd say, if you happen to go to a con or "Furry" gathering, chat with some Dragon enthusiasts. They most likely would be happy to share their ideas.
I think it looks wonderful. All the little details are not over looked I think it's great.
I understand a couple of places in Seattle that I use to enjoy eating at have closed too. The food was great, the prices were more than fair and they were family run. They were gay and lesbian friendly and wouldn't put up with customers being hassled. Sadly so many places like that are disappearing.

"Ming's" Chinese Kitchen in my Mythical Mills Harbor was originally inspired by the Chinese Restaurant my family and I enjoyed dining at in the early 1980s. The place is long gone, but I have many happy memories from there. ...Like getting introduced to Hot Sour Soup.
