This naturally deceased red fox skull has been stained with a mix of black teas and spices to give it the fossil-like color you see. Handmade polymer clay roses, leaves and vines bloom from the skull, all painted rich reds and greens. The inside of the cranium is stuffed with shredded coconut fiber that has been steeped in rose oil, so the skull literally smells like the roses that adorn it! The small drilled holes you see allow the fragrance to escape the skull.

The skull is a wearable pendant with a stout brushed copper chain. Processed/cleaned by me using beetles and fully degreased/sanitized prior to the tea staining and sculpting. This was sold in October 2017.
