Does the series tell both sides or does it completely demonize werewolves?

I try to paint a rather ambivalent picture - and hope to arrange the skewed source material in a way to make the reader understand that while there is much more lore that's "contra lykos" then "pro lykos", there are viable reasons why people search out this "curse" themselves, and not all incarnations of werewolves are of demonic origin.
Interesting that you should comment on exactly this picture - as it talks about both damnation and salvation at the same time, while leaving it open which is which.
