commented on my other old truck in "fall at home 2" so I thought I'd include this little pic of the fastest vehicle I ever owned....yeah it don't look like much, but I had it made that way on purpose...underneath that rusty rugged exterior is a 800+ Hp 350 chevrolet engine paired up with a custom built tranny and a set of .256 gears....not to mention it was a locker rear end so I could do some neat tricks....fastest speed I ever took it....well...don't know really, the speedometer quit reading at about 130 so its hard to say...but I will say that it would do 70 mph in 1st and 120mph in 2nd......

What was in the '86 F-150: 5 liter motor out of '94 mustang, high out put. board 40,000 over, 270 degree cam, low volume/high compression LTD, '86 in take, after market high volume injectors, street rod tranny RPM controlled, and the locker rear end............but how fast do you really want to go on a 23 year old twin eye beam suspincion. My dad wants to put that in the BMW.
And before you think that I actually know something about cars......My dad was telling me all this as I typed.

the "why did you do that?" group? I must be the president....just wish it was for cool stuff...I usually would here that about something I did dumb....like put that much HP in that old truck knowing how hard it was going to be to keep it together.....you know I went through 4 trans rebuilds, two sets of motor mounts, 3 rear ends, two axels, 3 drive shafts, two frame repairs, and 2 completly different transmissions (broke the bell housings).....we actually don't know how much HP that motor had...the computer said that it should have been between 800 and 1000 with the build we had on that engine....interesting engine, you know on 87octain it wouldn't shut off....we had to run 110 racing fuel in it all the time...way too much compression on it
Wow........Sounds kinda like the Camero my dad and uncle.......hot rodded/street rodde/built/modified? I don't know which word to use. But they wound up selling it to a Nascar licensed driver, the car ran one race, the engine ran two. They got it up to just under 16secs per mile, 18secs per mile is 200mph. They got their gas from an air port, and they did this in the 70s.
Damn, some day I'm gonna add my name to that group. Rather then just tell my dad's stories.
