Crown Crab Symbionts, unlike Succubats, can find some of their old skills don't work the same anymore. As a specific example: Shapeshifters can't hide that they're a crown crab at all. If they ever try to, the Crown Crab Symbiote will give it's own input on how they should look, asserting it's own ideals.

Sorry. I didn’t mean to offend you. I’m kind of going off of Vyreum’s story, where propaganda claimed that. Also, the name “succubat” kind of sounds similar to “succubus,” not to mention as far as I’ve seen, they barely wear any clothes. So I figured symbionts are a bit more sexually open.
Oh! I want offended I just didn't know where it was from. Hive communities are very queer, and more comfortable with skimpy clothes, but any increased sex drive or opened sexuality isn't a mindset being forced on them by the bats, but rather a consequence of how queer people tend to be more drawn to hives, and how everyone in the hive is super attractive and more fit and healthy than they've probably ever been before.
So, if a shapeshifter host wanted to resume their original form so they could continue a relatively normal life, would the Crown Crab somehow mess that up? Would it understand it's host's intentions? Is strength of mind and will of the host taken into account in how much influence the Crown Crab has over form? Could the host somehow train it to lessen it's control over the host's form?
