An image I finished up recently of a deer and a skull of a deer. This image came from a sketch I did at work one night that I wanted to kind of flesh out. I love deer and I don't draw nearly enough of them! I really love the symbolism, legends, and other such things that deer carry with them (not that they know that). I also just respect the kind of importance they hold in the natural world along with how deeply integrated they are into the web of life and death.
This was a whole lot of rambling but TL;DR I love deer.

Golly this piece is so amazing. The symbolization is so calmly surreal and gosh these colors just pop so vividly. Giving the fleshy deer white circular fur around the eyes was a awesome choice since it mirrors the eye sockets of it's skeleton counterpart much more intently. Awesome piece tho dude, it's absolutely outstanding <3
