Finally getting up the courage to post this story. I finished this book for last year's nanowrimo and thought it was about time I polished it up a bit and shared it. OH! And here's the book series synopsis:
In the world of Anima Mea there are Twelve Great Pillars: Vagor, Vendere, Angarius, Parva, Faber, Pinnae, Ignis, Aecor, Ungulae, Onus, Domesi, and Mythid. Together these Pillars make up the House of Orl, a harmonious empire populated by creatures of every species. At the center of this empire lies the Pearl, a sentient artifact believed to be the source of all magic and the ultimate ruler, responsible for choosing a new emperor or empress from among the Pillars every generation.
Or that was how things used to be.
The Pearl has been missing for 500 years. The descendants of the last Mythid empress formed a monarchy that was never supposed to exist. The Pillars are in constant conflict. What's worse, the last threads of magic have begun to die and mages all across Anima Mea are losing their power.
So how does a not-so-ex-assassin hare and a hunted naga priestess fit in to all this? Well it's a funny story. And not the "ha-ha" kind...
