I have a love for animals being anthropomorphized. So I made this little piece of art for those who like the same process!
A NEW ENVIRONMENT
It was another day in the woods for an American black bear as she on the hunt for today’s breakfast. She was on her way to the waterfalls, hoping to catch any fish swimming through there, but a strange, yet welcoming scent reached her nose before she got very far. Curious, the bear followed this sweet smell, going astray from her usual path, as she sought the source of what could possibly be an even greater tasting treat she could sink her teeth into. Prowling through the forest, she saw in the middle of a circle surrounded by trees what could only be described in her mind as a miniature tower of flat, brown soft objects with a yellowish white cube melting on the top and a liquid dripping all over the flat disks colored in a darker shade of brown, all sitting on a platform made of wood. The scent she had smelled originating from this object, the bear wasted no time approaching this mysterious new food and wolfed it all down. She savored it, which she would have noticed to be unusual for a simple minded animal such as herself had she not enjoyed the meal so much.
The bear had only noticed that something was amiss when she mentally identified what she had just eaten as “pancakes”, which left her confused to say the least, wondering how she was able to know such a thing. Yet the very same scent filled her nostrils, and the black bear felt compelled to once again follow. As she continued on, out of the forest and into the grassy plains, her body felt uncomfortable pangs everywhere, making it harder for the poor creature to press on. Forced to stop as a result of the irritations, she noticed that her hind legs felt as if they were stretching. Before she realized it, the bear had lifted herself, standing on her hind feet. It felt rather stiff at first, but with a cracking sound and the feeling of her spine doing just that, the bear found it a little easier to walk on two instead of all fours. “What’s happening to me?” She thought, “It the scent I’ve been following doing this?” By this point, her head was pounding with thoughts, fully aware of her surrounding and herself, perhaps for the very first time in her life.
Despite being unsure if she should go on or not, the bear ultimately couldn’t help but continue the journey she had set on, even if the lure of the scent was possibly a trap. While she could now move on two feet, the bear still had trouble balancing herself, having to carefully walk slowly, sometimes tripping and briefly having to crawl on the ground on her newly developed knees. This process tired her, often forcing her to stop and catch her breath. About the third time this occurred, the bear, still standing, placed a forepaw on the tree to help maintain her balance while the other was on one of her knees. As she did this, however, she suddenly noticed another part of the changing process; once bulky, her forelegs had shrunk and become more flexible, now able to reach where it was impossible beforehand. Her front paws were also altered, as she saw the appendage that was on her knee was somewhat smaller than a bear’s paw and far more dexterous: five, tiny stick-like things, each which were tipped at the end with her now somewhat duller claws, were extended out from the center of her newly altered hand, which she was able to identify as fingers. Having caught a breather much faster than the last two times, the bear was about to continue when an odd sensation came over her.
She fell on her currently more pronounced hide as she began to growl, not in distress, but with pleasure. First, she felt her large gut twisting and turning, becoming less fat and more muscle. Her arms and legs also swelled with muscle, growing more defined while also managing to maintain a more… dainty and feminine appearance. Next, as her growling began to sound a bit higher and like that of a human female’s moans, her chest expanded as two mounds swelled up like balloons, developing into breasts. After the pleasure had passed, the bear noticed that a certain blind spot in her sight had suddenly disappeared, and that she was seeing in color. Not to mention she felt some itchiness on the top of her head. Seeing a nearby body of water, she approached it to discover that not one piece of her had escaped the transformation. Where once was an ordinary bear’s muzzle was the face of a humanoid American black bear woman with vibrant purple eyes and short red hair with bangs. None of this seemed to matter when a question which entered her mind and suddenly rendered this new look moot, one which stopped the bear cold: “Who am I?”
For a moment, the bear was overcome with terror and a sense of helplessness, but before it could become a full blown panic attack, an aching inside her head struck her. It passed in an instant, but something about the bear changed by the time it had; she now had an identity of her own. “Tina Glory, 23 years of age, recent college graduate, moving to a new city with a job as a gym coach.” As this information became clear to her mind, Tina’s fur-covered, yet naked body was covered in a mysterious light. As it dissipated, she found herself wearing green sandals, brown jeans and an orange t-shirt covered under a yellow hoodie sweatshirt. Hearing the sounds of an engine, Tina looked to see the arrival of a local bus that would take her to the train. Having forgotten what she was before she was sitting on the bench waiting for the vehicle, Tina grabbed a pair of suitcases, which she thought she always had with her rather than suddenly materializing in thin air, as she boarded the bus and found a seat. As she sat down, she noticed that she wasn’t alone. Inside there were several recently uplifted animals, including up and coming ballerina lady Odette the Swan, who was Tina’s seatmate for the trip. The bus closed the doors and began its voyage as the two girls talked to one another as if they were longtime friends, off to lead this new passengers to their new lives.
