Gnolls are usually not the brightest of creatures, and neither do they tend to have very formidable minds. It isn't hard for the well-seasoned mage to simply snap their minds entirely.

Here we have the unfortunate subject of such mind-shattering magic. Probably seeing demons or wishing those voices would just shut up already.
