This is a commission for
marmelmm that I helped
dreaddenimpirate with. I sketched the car and painted the background and she did the character, inks, and coloring. We were asked to do it in a Sherlock Hound style and I think it worked out pretty well. I've never really painted a Miyazaki-esque background before, but it wasn't as difficult as I thought it might be.

I've gotten up close and personal with a Stanley Steamer before. Those things are more visceral than any "car" I've seen today that claims to give you "the true driving experience."
No. Driving 150MPH (or MPG) is not the true driving experience. Feeling the wind in your hair as you chuf-chuf-chuf along, knowing that you took the half an hour necessary to get it going, is the true driving experience. It's what lets you know that this is not just a magic box that goes fast. It's a machine.

That wasn't supposed to be so venomous. I was trying to compliment your work, and... oh well, I'll let it pass.
