Reed is a merfolk wizard who has become adept at conjuration and enchantment. She is part of the mage company known as the Five Holy Swords, each member gifted with a particular name of the set. Reed's sword is that of Philia, a paired set that represents the love between friends. The other Philia is a member she's got a particularly close bond with.
