This is just my rough draft colored sketch of a new outfit design for Hunter. This outfit will serve as his primary Winter garb as well as his social garb for when he must interact in a public setting, where some form of bodily coverings are the norm.
The outfit itself is brain (really egg) tanned buckskin smoked to a dull earthen tone brown with the element of fringe (small, narrow tendrils of overhanging material) overlap the seams on the outsides of the shirt and pants. The outfit will contain two individual legging wraps not sewn or connected to the shirt in any fashion, where his lower abdomen and the conjunction of the two leggings are hid by the overlapping loincloth/loin-clout.
Attached to the loincloth/loin-clout is a tanned raccoon hide and tail for decoration on his left side and a vegetable* tanned leather pouch on his right. At the base of the collar of the shirt, lies an adorned deer antler base rosiery, fitting with a decorative American Buff Goose feather while two smaller American Buff Goose feathers are intertwined with the fringe around the collar.
His arm-sleeves are individual wraps around each arm but are connected/sewn into the main body/shirt portion of the outfit, and more fringe added to the hem of the shirt is used to hide the seam.
On the front of the shirt, a decorative simple pattern is punched with small holes to form the outline using a bone awl. This gives a decorative touch to the otherwise bare shirt as well as providing extra ventilation in the warmer months if he wears the garb out in public.
On the cuffs of each pant legging the clan wolf symbol he is a member of is embroidered using natural walnut dye. The arrow pattern upon the loincloth is also made with a dye derived from dandelions. Upon the cuff of each arm-sleeve a small, self made arrowhead is fastened using sinew (dried animal tendon) for decoration.
Eventually I would like to get a fully updated and detailed ref-sheet for Hunter and his outfits and gear, and one day actually bring himself and his outfit to life in a real partial fur-suit! ^^ May take me a few years but that's the plan.
Drawn with H pencil, and colored with Prisma Color Pencils
