This is the reference sheet of my fursona done in the style of Zootopia by the lovely Claire/Clairictures at https://clairictures.deviantart.com/, whom I commissioned to have it drawn in early 2017.
Ah, this drawing; the drawing that firmly put me on the path to joining the furry fandom. I had been a fan of Zootopia since the day it came out in theaters and I wanted to see how I would look like in that world. It was the first time I had gone about commissioning anything and I wanted to see my fursona done in a style that looked similar to the movie's. I went a long, long while scrounging through fursona designs on Deviantart trying to find an artist that drew in the Disney style I was looking for. I was losing hope I would ever manage to find someone when one day, I came across this drawing: https://clairictures.deviantart.com.....igns-181590837. Looking at it, I practically jumped for joy; I knew I had found my artist. It was perfect in the sense of style I was looking for; it put me in mind of a character from The Fox and the Hound, which was my favorite Disney movie until Zootopia came out. My excitement was heightened further when I found out by looking at her profile that she had actually worked at Disney Interactive Studios as a character artist before they shut their doors permanently in 2016, so she definitely had experience drawing in the Disney style.
It took me a bit of time trying to track Claire down; she apparently had stopped regularly using her Deviantart account a while back, but thankfully, I was eventually able to track her down to her Facebook page and get in contact with her via Messenger, and even more thankfully, learn she was still open to commissions. She was an absolute joy to work with in designing and drawing my sona, and the finished product came out even better than I had hoped. She truly brought my vision of myself in Zootopia to life, and I will be forever thankful to her for that. I still love this drawing to this day.
