Stay calm, stay calm. Fuse fidgeted at Ashtree's side while they waited their turn. He licked his lips, paws dancing up and down. He could see their competition. I can do this I can! A bark slipped out, but his handler's command to be quiet still any further vocalizations. Then it was their turn and the leash was unsnapped. Ready... set...

“Go, Fuse! Go!”

Fuse shot through the course, his heart going a mile a minute. It was only his training that allowed his handler to keep up with him. This was a blast! He hoped he would have a chance to do more events like this. Primarily a herding dog, the Border Collie found agility to be more to his taste. His blue eyes lit up as he soared through the tire jump, ears and fur flying upwards with his momentum. The pair completed the course in good time and Fuse wore a grin of pride as he sat back down to watch the other dogs. Try and top that! Head held high, he leaned into Ashtree's side and wagged his tail.

“Good job, boy.” Ashtree scratched his ears and fluffed his ruff. “Might need to change your discipline. You were living up to your name out there.”
