There are more things in heaven and earth then can be dreamed by man. Screw dreams I'm more worried aboot the nightmares of man and the lurking creeping horrors in the dark!
When you are a false mage specializing in a very specific field of study, and start making a name for yourself with your experiments, you are bound to attract some attention. It won’t always be from where you expect and it might just see you as a potential toy. Enter Cross Stitch, or Stitches if you prefer. She heard tell of a human who had an affinity for plushes, dolls, and toys and he sounded just like the kind of person she’d like.
She spent some time watching Nix, figuring him out and planning. She decided that he desperately needed something new to wear, that cloak was so raggedy and boring, and needed to have some fun. He was so fond of puppets maybe he’d enjoy being one for a while, a brand new perspective and he can relax and let her take control! Yes that’s perfect they were going to have a lot of fun, now Stitches just needed to get him away from his other “toys.”
Don’t worry she won’t hurt him but she might keep him for a while and he will definatly continue to be humiliated and toyed with. When he does get away let’s hope he wasn’t very fun, Cross Stitch has a tendency to to reclaim some of her old “toys” she particularly enjoyed... there are many reasons why Nix does not like the dark, she is just a new reason.
