"At least"? If not using the word entirely is the "least" you ask, I'm curious what you think "the most" would be.
You say the word "implies" some idea, and then go on to describe it, but this is only what you personally read into it. You're intentionally choosing to interpret the most offensive possible meaning. This is not a charitable position, to suggest that anyone who uses this term is doing so in a pejorative context, and it robs those who self describe using the word from their dignity to do so, if you refuse to acknowledge instances when it [i[isn't[/i] a term of opprobrium. We need to move away from the dog whistles of virtue signaling and professional victimhood.

I said "at least" because it is possible to disagree on something and at least respect a person's wishes.
there's already a word for people who self describe as a man that openly dresses in women's clothing. it's called a cross-dresser.
look, the reason i'm even commenting on the use of this word here is because I'd like to at least help people see that the word trap did not come from a good place like you seem to think.
The word "trap" isn't inherently disrespectful in its use depending on the circumstance. It is inherently disrespectful because of its original use and where it actually came from. I can't stop you from personally using slurs, but I'd at least like to try and help educate people about words that are slurs and that could offend others.

trap is insulting because it implies the character is wearing that type of clothing with the sole purpose of tricking people into having sex with them.
the word trap is also a slur against trans people, because it implies that we are predatory by nature, and that we only do this to trick people into having sex with us. Which is grossly incorrect and highly insulting. Please stop.

You might want to relearn your definition of trap then.
"A man who dresses like a woman and is somewhat feminine in appearance. Could almost be mistaken for a woman."
Looking at your gallery, your character is in multiple situation where you are far far from being innocent.
So if you want to get offended for a character you do not own being called a trap, then please leave Furaffinity and go to tumblr instead.
Don't voice people opinions just because your little INTJ get offended. This is the internet, this is a porn website.
If you want respect, start by not involving your character into disrespectful situation, where many examples can be found in your gallery. And most importantly, keep your drama out of the artist page.
If you have something to say to someone say it in private, just like I should had in this reply. thank you.

the definition of the word is the word itself.

more specifically, following the slang use, see definitions 3 and 4:
https://www.urbandictionary.com/def......php?term=Trap
The word was initially used on 4chan to describe people that dressed all en femme with the intention of taking someone to the bedroom for dirty play. The idea behind the word had two meanings:
1.) the intention to do so was to either reveal to the person that they had sex with someone they didn't want to (in the case of a guy being "trapped"), thereby labeling him as gay - back during a time when there was still a lot of stigma behind the word
2.) that the person dressed in women's clothing (the "trap" itself) was a predatory gay person, using their cunning and wit over their strength to win over and have sex with the guy.
This video explains a little more based around the general idea, but in a long-winded format in case you're interested https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7N.....be&t=3m30s

I can appreciate this! You've done nothing wrong, so please know that I was not aiming my words at you. You're gucci.
The only reason that I've commented on that is because your fursona was so cute that i felt compared to comment on how cute they were...then i saw the people calling him a trap and said "wait a minute"
