Another one of those "toned paper" sketches! ^^ This one took like twice as long as the last, thanks to all the detail... but she is a newer character I have wanted to draw for quite a while now XD
__________
[Lore]
Her name is Alpha Nika'maar, the mother of my characters Ti'maar and Lue'maar, and co-Alpha/mate with Alpha Ra'maar. ^^ As I have mentioned before, the Be'vaal don't have marriage, they just are mates with whoever they want :P Some races tend to have only one mate at a time and for a long time, others have many. But when it comes to leadership, every race has two Alphas (a male and a female) resembling a marriage. (Both of them hold an equal amount of power in their kingdom) They continue their house by passing on the role of Alpha to one of their children as a Paladin, either a male or female (in their case Ti'maar was chosen as the house Paladin). Then they have a co-Alpha mate chosen from the Paladin through an elaborate process (contests and such :P) Ra'maars father was the Prime Alpha of house 'maar and when it was (then Paladin) Ra'maars turn to rule Nika'Daak was chosen. She came from one of the leading military families, a warrior house, and she continues in their ways.
Alpha Nika'maar leads a separate army from Alpha Ra'maar consisting of several races, and has done so for almost two decades throughout the Canid-Felid Civil War. She loves warfare and blood and all that fun stuff, and especially loves joining the battles herself. She tends to be quite violent and sadistic, and that is where Lue'maar probably gets his ways from :P She loves everything about the fight haha (she is so cool, and scary). She isn't the type of person you want to pick a fight with, or be owned by haha
Which brings me to another point I don't think I have discussed, the 60/40 rule. (This one is subject to change because i just came up with it and havent thought it though very well haha. So maybe disregard this part :P )
The Be'vaal don't care much about the differences in sex between males and females. For them it falls more into dominant/submissive (kind of like masculine/feminine I guess?) roles. Though it depends on the race as well, roughly 60% of males, and 40% of females could be considered naturally on the dominant side, whereas 40% of males and 60% of females more on the submissive side. This has plenty of implications, but it means they are all on pretty equal footing when it comes to roles in society. So you have plenty of females like Nika'maar who love to fight and do things more aggressive. Also out of all of the soldiers, about 60% are male and 40% are female.
__________
I realize I don't draw many female characters :P I have them, I just rarely draw them haha. I really prefer drawing guys :P I promise I'll try to draw more girls haha
Let me know what you think! :D
