
Saw a bunch of people drawing Kovu i thought id join the band wagon and practice my skills. Here's a black and white photo of my favorite lion.

That aside, I am always urprised by how brush strokes can give a hairy look, bu the way ou implemen those brush strokes have them integrate quite seamlessly wi the rest of the picture while adding volume. I would ut more brush strokes over his left ear, though, because the hard black outline has th ear look pasted on his mane.
Aside from that, though, I am impressed at how accurate you were to the Disney style! From another angle, Kovu himself is looking fabulous!
