This is a little rough in places, but I'm more than happy for one major reason: I started and finished in one sitting, which I intended to do.
The pose is referenced; I'm not awesome enough to come up with that myself.

Ooooh nice. In my opinion this is definitely your best to date dude. I love the eyes. They're definitely "don't fuck with me" eyes. It's not exactly easy to convey that in a picture, but you've done it bloody well! And on a more personal note: you'll get over this hurdle dude :).
I really like the attention to detail on the collar, more often than not artist can be pretty lazy about that sort of thing, though I would be lying if I didn't say the first thing that popped into my mind from the title was Final Fantasy VIII...I'll be waiting...
