Not at all, critique is fine :). I added the highlight to the other eye to see how it looks, but I decided I prefer it without. With the added sparkle in the other eye, her shadowed side looks too "alive". Without it there's a little more emphasis on the contrast between the light and shadowed areas.

This takes me back to when I had a tiger and came home just ahead of an approaching downpour. By the time I got in the house and to the french doors, it was already soaking everything in site and there he was just sitting there, patiently waiting for me to open the doors He didn't bolt in either. he just stayed right there and looked right at me just like this picture. I couldn't resist and joined him in the rain, to give him a big kiss right on the top of his muzzle.
