I realized recently what I've been leaving out of my story that made it seem like it's moving so quickly. I skip around a lot of dialogue, such as bits of small talk and people around the main character that have their own conversations... I skip around those sort of details a lot, and I know I have a lot to add in when I edit this before sending it in to be looked at by someone more professional.

Anyways, I had a bit of fun with this. It was sort of like a relaxing tourist sort of thing, I think. I let my character James explain how I felt when I listened to music sometimes to gain inspiration. How one almost feels alive and part of the music.
The music he witnessed does indeed become a very prominent part of everyone's life fairly soon, actually. The music and light shows become a big fad for a few hundred years, but... don't let me bore you with that sort of thing. ^^;
