I've been told that you can pet the regular-sized bumblebees in your garden. They are very docile and difficult to provoke.

This is absolutely true. We used to adore them when I still worked at the greenhouse as a child. They're delightful and polite creatures, and even when they're upset, they're still really quite harmless. WHen you hear the colony start collectively buzzing loudly, that generally means they're upset, but they won't attack unless quite strongly provoked. They love petunias, we used to pet them while they collected pollen.

Perhaps the bee is bee-sized and... Naah, suspension of disbelief and all that...

You did a really nice job on that dog eye too, especially given how small the canvas is. It's clear she's looking at the bottom of the glass and defines the contours of that part of her head quite well.
