I actually wing it myself! only advice I have is really watch how you layer your pieces. I always do my cell shading (the harder/fine lines) first with the pen tool, then add a soft shade using just an airbrush tool to give it that soft effect of dimension. Also always keep your shading under your highlight layers, but for highlights it's the same thing as shading just a different layer setting is all.
