A warrior from the province of Wufang, Lhou was seeking his fortune as a traveling bounty hunter for many years, before receiving a quest to track down a vampire who was leading a group of bandits within the Verdant Plains. Coming across the criminals, he engaged them in combat before being overwhelmed and brought face to face with their leader. Challenged by the vampire in one-on-one combat, he was beaten and forced to surrender to the vampire’s bite. Traveling nearby and drawn to the conflict, Kerrigan appeared in time to suspend Lhou’s thralldom, and take him from the area.
Awakening as a vampire, Lhou was initially dismayed and hateful of Kerrigan for being a vampire, but soon accepted his fate and thanked Kerrigan for saving him from an eternity of thralldom. Deciding the safest way to survive would be by Kerrigan’s side, Lhou joined the Vampire Master as one of his servant allies, maintaining his devotion to the Hero Deities revered by many people of Wufang while incorporating honor to and guidance from the vampiric reverence of the Silvermoon.
Joining Kerrigan’s pursuit in maintaining order across the vampire clans, he has regained much of his former personality and composure. Finding himself sharing several traits and interests with his so-called master, he and Kerrigan work to hunt down feral vampires and those who would seek to cause harm and chaos to the unworthy, while striving to enjoy the pleasures of life within their eternal state of undeath.
ETHNICITY!!!!

Well, the way I've got it written is Vampirism is based on mystical connections through blood: if a vampire bites someone or something, tasting or ingesting that being's blood will give them a mystical connection that allows the vampire to track or manipulate them. The more blood consumed, the stronger the mystical bond. When the subject of a vampire bite dies, the binding is even more complete, usually resulting in thralldom: the state where after the deceased are given "unlife" and become undead, the vampire can then control the thrall with unbreakable obedience.
The vampire that bit Lhou here was something of a novice however: though powerful enough to lead a group of bandits with success, and powerful enough to defeat and bite Lhou, the vampire wasn't as old and experienced as Kerrigan, who is a Vampire Master. Being in the area, Kerrigan sensed the other vampire's presence through the shared blood of the vampire curse, and investigated. Upon finding Lhou near death, Kerrigan took him away, and in order to prevent the other vampire from gaining control of Lhou, bit him himself. In the end, Kerrigan was able to assert greater control over Lhou than the other vampire, and was able to prevent thralldom by the bandit vampire's will. Thus, Kerrigan has essentially become Lhou's master, yet he does not use the mystical bond to command Lhou, rather letting the fresh vampire maintain his own mind and freedom.
Again, the whole fantasy World thing I'm putting together definitely takes a lot of cues from mythology and prior popular writings on these races/species/subjects and such, but I'm trying to add my own unique angle to things!

yeah because it does sound kind of familliar. though when the victim dies he becomes undead, but if they have been bitten yet not all blood has been drained from them does that make them a vampire? also does that mean every vampire has a master? I'm assuming Kerrigan was bitten by someone as well
