Still working on commissions! Just did something quick to fill in the void while I work on inks.

I regret to inform everyone that I am back on my bullshit and still won't stop drawing yokai from Yokai Watch.

One of the things I really enjoy about Yokai Watch fanart is when an artist makes the recolors (a staple in this series) visually different from their counterpart so I thought, why not do that with the two scary doctors, especially considering the changes I made to Nogut’s design and backstory.

The scary cyclops on the left is Dr. Maddiman, aka Dr. Kagemura Senior, the ghost of the hospital director of Nocturne Hospital that let it fall to ruin. He experimented on patients and animals while working at his hospital and, in trying to take over the world to keep his wife and son safe, he overworked himself to death. He’s kind of a wreck that was sewing the body parts of yokai together to create Amaterasu, but at least he's slowly getting better. He at least went from ripping out hearts to having pet turtles.

The even scarier cyclops on the right is Dr. Nogut. He saw Nocturne Hospital be built and was the original hospital director until he died after a patient he was experimenting on fought back and he was stabbed in the heart with a scalpel. He had hoped his son, who he essentially trained to be the doctor he is today, would take over the family business; instead his son ended up having the hospital fall to disrepair. Not that he can do much about it; he’s currently locked in the Infinite Inferno for “crimes against humanity”.

In other words, they’re a fun happy father/son duo and I’m sure there’s no hard feelings between the two, especially when Nogut’s pride and joy is now abandoned ruins… (well okay not really, and Maddiman should thank his lucky stars that Nogut is in a place where he can't throw any sharp surgical implements at his worthless son).
