The Specter is a redesigned ship from the early years of the Alliance. The original was meant to be the first stealth fighter to be utilized by the Alliance, capable of going invisible. Due to the limited amount of money the Alliance had at the time, the project was deemed postponed until further notice and eventually was discontinued due to the amount of time and money that was required to develope a single fighter. Shortly after the Conclave War and before the impending Infinitos Invasion, the Alliance chose to drag the fighter back out due to their more effective economy and better research means. Whereas the original never made it out of prototype phase, this one has officially begun mass production. The Starfighter has a far more powerful and effective stealth system which has been referred to as a Absolute Stealth drive which basically means that it can go completely invisible, and can remain undetected by practically any means of detection. The fighter can active a engine muffler system to silence its engines and can even launch a Extreme density EMP pulse that knocks out targeted systems. The fighter is extremely quick and can even fire its weapons while cloaked. It has 4 front blaster cannons, 6 energy missile swarm pods, the same found on the Hivelord Gunship which can fireautomatically, and has 2 heavy cannons on its side engines that can swivel down when attacking ground targets and hovering. Along with this, the ship has a twin barreled turret operated by a Altech Lambda-series Astromech Droid. The frontmost 2 blaster cannons can also turn down for better ground target acquisition. The turret itself is linked to a seperate generator and can fire normally even when cloaked and since the operator is a droid, it can be an incredibly accurate shot as the droid can make calculations that the pilot is too slow to create. When attacking targets, the Specter usually decloaks and when the cloak is not activated, all power from the cloak is filtered into the weapons, allowing the fighter to deliver an extremely fast, automatic volley of lasser and missile fire on a target without the need to worry about power consumption. The fighter is capable of advanced manuervering and only the best Bulldog Pilots are chosen to fly them. The ship also has an active deflector which calculates incoming fire and cycles a second shield ontop of its main to deflect this weaponfire. As usual the Lambda Droid is in charge of most navigation and repairs while the pilot just has to worry about flying, maneuvering and dogfighting. With all this said, this fighter is incredibly powerful and even moreso hard to catch aswell has the capabilities of being a strike ship that can play the role of starfighter, bomber or interceptor. The ship also has jamming shielding which protects it from jammin weapons such as EMP or Ion weaponry. Squadrons consist of 5 Specters and a full attack wing is 4 squadrons. These fighters are modified to work in unison with Alliance Sky Knight Stealth Bombers and launch from Abon Frigate. The Fighter is 9.9 meters long.
