Corruptor of mortals and devourer of worlds, this ghastly abomination has no name. It has been called by the Ervaeon as "The Fade" and as it sets foot on the world's it sets it's eyes on, the world is covered by a blanket of darkness, which slowly eats away at the planet and turns it to ash.
Whats worse is the inhabitants of the planet are powerless to stop it, for the Fade corrupts many of them, shifting to fit their desires or their weaknesses, slowly turning them insane from the corruption.
Eventually they cannot fight the Fade and eventually die with their planet, being consumed by the Fade in it's Wyrm Form, a giant, grotesque armored worm that has a skeletal appearance with rows of razor blade teeth. This form, is as large as the planet Neptune, and can attach itself to the planet like a tapeworm, sucking the life out of it's host planet.
The Fade would eventually move on as it got its last bits of sustenance from the shell of a planet, and move on to it's next victim, traveling in it's dormant form through space (shown above)
The Ervaeon were one of few lucky races that survived this corruption and subsequent destruction, having left the planet before too many were corrupted, those being left behind as they were too dangerous and too far gone to save.
Many ships went to different planets, some were destroyed, and some found respite in the foreign worlds. However, the main fleet themselves spent half a millennia searching elsewhere for a new home, somewhere that may give them all a chance
From their escape five centuries later, they soon discovered Earth. And established contact with the humans on that world. The contact was successful, and they then established themselves as a welcomed guest among the humans, sharing their technology and wares in return.
However, even if they are getting comfortable here, they are ever watchful, looking out for the Fade and preparing for a final fight to destroy the entity once and for all. Hoping that they succeed.
Here we go! Some lore and a ref for the creature that destroyed the Ervaeon home world! Hope yall like
The Ervaeon are an open species! Feel free to make your own!
