Well I've been on a bit of a sketch spree lately, which is part of why this took so long. Got a bunch of other Trek characters in sketch form and a planned group pic with them. But I've also got a number of cute stuff to work on. Beyond that I may start posting some simpler stuff. I have a bust set that I plan to do some simple color with and post in a day or two. But for now here's a cute ginger Klingon. And for the eagled eyed of you out there yes this is yet another Redesign on the Klingons. Wasn't quite happy with the last one.
Vaylth wasn't exactly your average Klingon kid. No he was different in a number of ways. First and most obviously he had a degree of albinism which set him apart from his Klingon peers. It was a rare trait for Klingons and it didn't help that the most well known Albino was known for dishonorably poisoning the children of some of the most venerated members of the Empire. Beyond that an "accident" with some other children had left Vaylth with some lingering partial paralysis which necessitated ... well to put it bluntly diapers. The fact that Vaylth was up and walking through was testament both to rugged Klingon physiology and his own determination. Needless to say it'd been a shock to the boys who'd caused said accident when he walked back up to them a month later. The fight didn't last long and while Vaylth came out of it with more than a few bruises and cuts he was still standing which was more than the other boys could say.
It wasn't long after that when his family moved. His family, his father a doctor and mother an engineer, were part of House Martok once the hostilities between the Empire and Federation had ended they had decided to take the opportunity to put their skills to work for the newly formed Alliance. So they packed up and moved to the former StarBase 33 now an Alliance station. It was quite big, had to be near the size of the famous DS9 though unlike the originally Cardassian station this one had been built by StarFleet and had all the amenities. It was quite the adjustment for everyone but a welcome one. Vaylth found that being Albino didn't really mean much to non-klingons on the station and that despite his diapers earning him some teasing no one ever did so for long save a few other Klingon kids who quickly learned that the Pale Klingon wasn't spineless, not out looking for a fight like them but definitely not spineless.
Since moving to the station Vaylth had made a few friends around the station. Two that stuck out to him were a human boy who's mom worked with his own in the Engineering department, and a Reman boy who's father had become fast friends with his own. One of the things he'd gotten a taste for thanks to his new friends were Extra Net programs. His new human friend said it was like old Earth TV, something you merely watched but didn't participate in. So a bit like a book in the non interactive regard. Sure it wasn't as fun as actually doing something, maybe on the holodeck, but it was a nice way to relax in the evening. That was the agenda of the evening. He'd just changed into a fresh diaper and with it simply being him and his dad now off shift from Sickbaby he saw no need to wear anything else. Looking back and beckoning his dad over to the couch the he smiled as his dad scooped him up like a squealing, or more aptly giggling, targ and then flopped down on the couch with him. A nice relaxing evening for the station's Klingon Medical Officer and a lil Pale Klingon boy.
Well hope you guys liked the pic and the lil story. ^^
