Day two of Background Blitz! I’m much happier with this piece, and it feels much more complete– I think I need to work more on color design for environments than fleshing them out with detail, so I’ll probably be skipping lines for the rest of this challenge.
This depicts a bug ferret venturing down a garden tunnel with their shears, hoping to bring home some tasty wild produce. The chemosynthetes and decomposers of the ferret homeplanet only produce visible structures when pulling open new tunnels to push their reproductive structures out into. These “fruits” and “flowers” often glow and produce heat to tempt local animals into pollinating them and spreading their seeds.
