Hayashi's trying to work on some cross country flight planning using his newly acquired E-6B, while he waits on the electronic one.
IRL, I have been using them a lot, since I'm trying to get my cross country solos out of the way before I leave for the summer. Sometimes the calculations add up, sometimes they're completely off when I cross check with my electronic flight computer. :/
